Here's my question:

With all of us (and all the people on boards like this) nabbing all this free jonx from CSCO, how much is that killing their bottom line? Just think where their stock would be if they didn't give away all this free crap to every Tom, Dick, and Harry that clicks on their site a few times!
 
Its been stated before, by someone who supposedly asked a Cisco PR rep themselves, that the books only cost Cisco about $3-4 each since they get them direct from the printer or something... and that Cisco is happy to give them out as good publicity and as a way to get good will going for them.

It worked for me, I have about 6-7 of these wonderful books. 🙂
 
Just got this in the mail today, pretty nice book that they could sell for about 9.95 [price from back cover. I feel kind of stupid with a made up company name on the address though. 😱

Just got my book the other day. Being new to networking I found this a real good reference point. Can't wait for the other book.
