New Fox Show: The War at Home. A mini-review

I can call it within the first few minutes: This show is terrible.

It has everything which a terrible formulaic sitcom has: Over-the-top laugh track, stereotyped characters (Smart-aleck son, possibly gay son, slightly slutty daughter who yells "I HATE YOU!" every time her parents say something against her will, terribly acted "In-charge" mother, and hopeless father.), and a lame premise.

I see this show tnking within 4 episodes, or so. Kinda like that Life on a Stick show.

There's nothing to enjoy about this show. It's just a filler between The Simpsons and Family Guy.

Tune out, folks.

the commercials for it looked so crappy during football. There's always a half hour of crap time at 7:30 on fox.

it really was bad. but first shows and first seasons can be weak and still produce good quality. the main character is a talented actor so, provided the jokes are stepped up a bit and more importantly, the chemistry between the cast comes together more, it could be a decent show.
if you watch some of foxs other shows that are still around like simpsons of family guy from the first episodes the jokes have too much time in between and the lines are rather stale.
my biggest problem with the show was the laugh track. nothing is worse than a laugh track.

It started off terribly, but I actually thought there were some funny moments and lines. I like Michael Rappaport well enough, and the wife was also OK IMO.
