So anyway, as a way to show our appreciation for our community and all of the above, we've worked extra hard the past few weeks finishing and polishing our DLC packs and have moved up the release schedule to next Friday (12/7). That's right, by the time you read the Pitpass Report this time next week, you'll be able to download both a heavy-hitting car pack and one DLC track. We won't reveal just yet which cars are in the pack, or for that matter, which track you guys can download next week, but there are hints. For instance, the cover image for this week's Pitpass is a top-down photo of one of my favorite Bimmers in the new pack. There are some high-end exotics coming as well as a classic rally car and even one of the most-requested muscle cars from GM made it into the 11-car line-up. As for the DLC track... anything I note about its characteristics will definitely give it away, so let me just say that it is one of our favorite tracks from Forza 1 and we're glad it's back in the game.

Before I make the Intarwebz implode and crash our forum software with rampant community speculation, know that the new DLC track is not Fujimi Kaido. Sorry, but it's not! But we think you'll be glad nonetheless. The best part of the DLC for both the cars and the track is that we're releasing both for a total of 500 Xbox Live Marketplace points (400 for the car pack and 100 for the track). Those of you who only want the cars and/or vice versa, can also download the content a la carte. At any rate, take the weekend to salivate a little, and then we'll release more details the middle of next week with an awesome video that Landin's been working on all week so look for the full disclosure when we blow it out with this video.

11 cars plus a track for 500 points ($4.25). Reasonable or no?

Update: Ars

Turn 10 had given away the fact that one of the cars was to be the original M3, but now a movie has been posted at Game Trailers that clues us in to most of the rest of the content. The cars are as follows:

* 1971 Pontiac Firebird
* 1981 Renault 5 Turbo1984 Audi Sport quattro
* 1986 BMW M3 E30
* 1997 Porsche 911 GT1 Street
* 2005 Ferrari FXX
* 2006 Ferrari 599GTB Fiorano
* 2007 Audi R8
* 2007 Koenigsegg CCGT
* 2007 Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera

And the new track? Road America. That's right, probably the best road circuit in the US has finally reappeared, and that will be great news to the majority of Forza fans who mourned its absence when the game was released. The additional cars are a good selection as well, and include a number of models that are in Project Gotham Racing 4 and Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, allowing Turn 10 to keep up with the Joneses. If only I didn't have to be out of town that weekend...

Did they lower the price of the points? Isn't 500 points $6.25?

One track for $1.25 is reasonable. The cars will depend on what cars they are and how badly I want them.

Has this game price dropped. I'm kind of interested in it but then...I think I need a wheel to have fun with it right?

EB Games has it for $35 used (website). With it being part of the holiday bundle, I'd expect to be able to get it used for pretty cheap. Check eBay.

Nope.

I've seen the Forza/Marvel Ultimate Alliance bundle on ebay for less than 30 bucks. Pretty good price for two good games if you ask me. Sure the bundle comes free with the console now but its still pretty good. Check there and I'm sure you'll find that 2 game bundle for that cheap..maybe less!

Nice I'm going to grab it off Ebay. I haven't played either of them.

An easy way to remember is 80 points per dollar, so 400 points is $5.

There's not too many other cars I want, i'm pretty satisfied with what they have. But i'd rather pay 500pts for like 3 diff tracks. Not just 1 track with 3 circuits.

Well, if you just want the track, it is only 100 points by itself.
