New forum software? I'm feeling anxious, nervous, fretting

In a browser that i don't have flash enabled, it doesn't show the top ad banner or side aid banner and keeps pulling my page back to near the 3rd post in a thread page.

My preference for 100 posts per page doesn't seem to take effect.

so much wasted space still annoys me.

Besides the lack of customization (themes, threads/posts per page, removing crap on the sidebars, etc.) I don't like how sigs are shown now. Doing a quick reading of a post it's easy to miss the VERY faint dashed box that now is the sig outline. I don't want to turn them off, because some are pretty good. Hell, my claim to fame on this forum is making it into the sig of Ross! (For a few weeks, anyway).

Wait, is that a claim to fame? Or shame? 🙁

Yeah, this makes it look a lot more like a serious tech forum. 🙄

I agree with most, it looks like a Pokemon threw up all over my favorite forum!

I won't be visiting much anymore unless we at least get a decent dark theme.
 
Is it possible to hide the small avatar icons at the front of new threads per user pref? They are redundant with the name of the thread creator listed, which I find more useful (and less annoying.)
 
I didn't see this thread the other nite before I crapped the other one up and got it locked 🙁

I'm changing my answer to... the bright white is better than nothing... and
Sometimes the stuff on the right scrolls with the rest of the page ! 🙂
 
Ughh don't have time to read through the thread

What happened to L&R forum? It's showing up for me, with no posts. Did it get shut down at some time and I just missed it?
 
My only two complains are the low number of posts you can have in a thread (there isn't even an option for it, nor hardly any options at all for that matter) and the little summary box that pops up on mouseover for a thread title can be off the screen or partially hidden if the thread is near the top of your screen (the box should be displayed below instead of above). Not mind blowing issues but annoying. The rest don't bother me.
 
Search seems to be finished indexing so results are now useful. 😀

Maybe that is what bogged down the forum last night.

This new forum software sucks. And it is extremely aesthetically unpleasant. As I've seen others say, it's so much damn white it hurts my eyes.
