New Forum Layout is too wide

Here's the weird thing though, when I scroll to the right with the horizontal scroll bar at the bottom of my browser, there's just white space, and the RSS button all the way to the right in the middle of the white space

The whole layout is clunky and I can only make it narrow enough using the Default color scheme. Gone are the days of tab surfing ATOT because it was easy, there's so much dead space in this damn layout.

Maybe we don't want to use the default theme?

It appears the forum is reading your resolution and mandating the width of the forum be the same as the width of your resolution, forgetting to take into account that lots of folks use the bookmark or history or other sidebars in their browser window, so the width of the forum is rendering too wide and causing a horizontal scrollbar.

Also, the forum titles in the left column cut off and end in "...".

I certainly don't but until they fix it, I'd rather not have a mangled page.

yep, the default theme seems to fix the width/horiz scrollbar problems I was having too.

FF2.0.0.4 on Mac OSX 10.4.

I have the same issue, the "search topic" and "topic tools" buttons are way over on the side of my screen. The default theme is so hard to read that it isn't an option.

The width is a function of your font size. Hold down the CTRL key and scroll your mouse down - you will see things eventually fit.

It is a tradeoff between ease of reading larger font or seeing the whole screen.

The worst part about the new format is the Thread Title in a light blue - very difficult to read.

Nope, that doesn't work for me. There is no point at which it all fits on the screen, even with fonts so small they appear as dots.

it is because of the very top div. The code is making the div the size of the window, but the navigation bar also takes up space. I think fusetalk forgot that 100% + 100 pixels is greater than 100%

So part of the page is too wide to fit any screen, the feature that highlighted threads that I've already looked at is gone, the "new post" tag in threads is gone, the "last" button is gone, and all the themes will cause seizures or blind me. Everything is different, nothing is improved. That ain't no upgrade.
