New Forceware 174.70 Drivers

From what ive just read these drivers are very good and not just for the 9 series cards.

They also have a few mirrors on gur3d's Nvidia driver forums if this is too slow.


These are installed on my 9600GT and 7600GT and both seem ok so far, my little girls playing Sims 2 pets on the 7600GT pc and its working fine.

I installed them on Vista, didn't fix my scaling issues but it added some features like custom timings and better video options so they seem like nice drivers, I haven't tried them on XP or for gaming yet.

yes, actually they are leaked CLOSED beta... if you look at nvidia's website for "beta drives" you will find an earlier, more finished beta.

Yeah they are beta, but so are all Nvidia's drivers lately even the ones they recon are whql....lol

These are supposed to the best drivers Nvidia have released in a long time.


Ive been trying them on XP with my 9600GT and these fixed the Vsync stuck on problem i was having with the 174.53's.

i tried them on WiC and CoH OF and they both played very well.

They work fine on most games but still don't fix the stuttering by 8800GT's on UT2004 (which has been known since late 2006).

Essentially these drivers were to add support for the 9800gtx and also fix some bugs with the gx2. I won't say much more than that becuase new drivers should come out tomorrow to enable quad sli and it won't be these drivers. I know becuase I've got 2 gx2's.

Man I hope the new quad sli drivers are good!

some reason for me with all of the 174.xx drivers i have tried, nba live 08 lags like crazy, ~5-10fps all the time. currently using 171.20 with a modded .inf but its not too stable, resets randomly in 3d apps or tries to, but the driver doesnt reset properly and i get a bsod. the more recent 169.xx drivers i ve found to be a little more stable dont have profile fsaa which sucks. very disappointed with nvidia's drivers.
