new firmware for optorite dd0203

no new firmware for DD0201. stupid 2.17 firmware costed me 6 coasters. burns would not be read in any other drive. using 2.50 for dd0201 and everything works fine.

Good for optorite owners but doesn't belong in 'Hot Deals'

woah quiet down there crapper... :Q if you do a search in 'Hot Deals' you will see that this was a flaming Hotdeal at one time so its a great heads up for all the ATers that religiously look at ONLY this forum... like me 😉

Oh, and because you only read this forum doesn't mean that it is justified to post cotent from the other forums. Sorry, but there are thousands of people on AT that realize that it IS possible for them to use the other forums, and to keep hot deals limited to hot deals, for the sake of everyone else who knows how to use the different forums.
 
Jeez people, don't click on the thread if the subject doesn't interest you. I think this does belong here because it's software I get for free that improves a product I got from a different thread here. If this thread is of value to some of the members here, what is your major malfunction?

Did you also crap on the Free Windows XP 64-bit edition thread? Isn't that just a software upgrade for a piece of hardware, only of interest to Athlon64 owners? I'm not an owner of one (yet), plus I had heard about that from a billion news sites, so I just ignored that thread, just like I ignore 90% of the threads unless the subject interests me. Is that so hard for some of you to do???

Sorry for the long bitch session but I just wanted thank the OP and show some support.

Basically the 201 and 203 are the same drive and the 250 firmware upgrade supports much more media types for both drives, hot deal imo!

 
I remember reading a report a while back that said they were releasing new firmware to bump the recording speed up. If this is true this is hot
