Have they figured out a way to do an install/ugprade so you dont have to do all your plugins all over again?

Note that version 0.9 RC1 uses a new directory for its application data, so your personalized settings will be inaccessible until you rename your existing application data directory. I think the change went from Application Data/Firebird to Application Data/Firefox.
Same on Linux: ~/.firebird to ~/.firefox.

Mozilla is a full suite of internet applications.
But there is a Mozilla browser within, no ?

But mozilla is huge and bulky, with a bunch of crap applications you'll never use. Also, their logo sucks :p

Firefox > * > IE

I think they are calling it more so FireFox 0.8+ instead of 0.9 in some places. Donno why though. Is mozilla 1.7 still based on the old browser or Firefox yet?

the naming scheme is different with Thunderbird and Firefox.

Stable milestones and version are deonted by the version number. 0.7 and 0.8.

Nightly builds and RCs are based off the upcoming version number but aren't certified by the developers. Hence the 0.9 RC shows up as 0.8+. All 0.8 nightlies are based on working towards 0.9 but can't be called 0.9.

It's almost the same reason why nightly builds cannot use the official Firefox logo. They aren't certified builds and can't carry the logo.

Damn, they changed the shortcut keys to the download manager from ctrl-e to ctrl-y... that will confuse my already over loaded brain!

because of their naming scheme. it's not a 0.9 but 0.8+ nightly, RC build. All nightlies are the last version number plus a plus (+)

Heh, i'd gone back to 0.7 after trying out 0.8, I didn't like 0.8 as much.

I thinks i'll wait until it gets to release before i try 0.9 out
