New FedEx driver makes me like FedEx more than UPS now

Both of "my" drivers do a great job, but the UPS guy is more personable than the FedEx guy.

I like FedEx more than UPS. My last UPS shipment was an order of RAM off the FS/T forum from NJ to NYC. The package was shipped to Philadelphia, then reported as damaged, then reported as lost. I received the package a week and a half after it was shipped (ironically, the day after it was reported lost). The box was crushed flat and there was a gaping hole where I just slipped the RAM out. Amazingly, all the RAM was there and it all worked. I've also seen how they threw my computer I had ordered long ago around in their truck.

I'm sure FedEx isn't any different, but I haven't seen them mess up yet.

I would think it would be customer service, interaction with certain members of the organization.

Please explain to me how the average consumer joe isn't going to base their view of a company off of the only people they have contact with.

I think it is every little thing that counts....and also everyone in the company.

I already had so many frustrated experience with UPS, so I hated them for long. I think FedEx is much better.
