Zuni & Fusetalk Folks,

Would it be possible to impliment the following:

Some sort of status symbol which allows those who have a similar problem, question, etc. to be able to quickly see if the issue/problem/question has been resolved to their satisfaction, which would be noted in the thread index (list of threads for the particular fourm you are in) and within the actual thread.

The creator of the thread has an option (simple button, similar to the reply, edit, etc. buttons) to click on to make the threads status change to being resolved, so others can quickly go to that thread for an answer, especially when searching for a similar problem.

For those that spend time looking through threads to try and help out, instead of reading through two pages of responses, they would know right away whether the issue is resolved or not. This would mean that threads that have not been answered or resolved, would have a better chance of being rectified quicker. Hey, who does not want an answer as quick as possible? :)

Just a thought, cause I like to try and help out as much as I can and it would make it easier for those that want to do so.

Thanks!

While it would be an interesting gimmick, I don't think this is really necessary; after all, the creator of a thread can already indicate that an issue has been resolved, by editing the title of the thread to reflect the change. Hypothetical example: a thread might be entitled "How do I reformat my hypotenusal grammiflaggle without damaging the widget?" After several posts that explain how to do it (or explain that it can't be done,) the thread's creator amends the title to "How do I reformat my hypotenusal grammiflaggle without damaging the widget? -- PROBLEM SOLVED! THANKS!"

Word yo, but some people are just too lazy to type such a thing! Just "click" once on the resolved button and that's it.

If it is terribly difficult to implement such a "gimmick", then we will just have to make due with what we have. :(

However it would be handy, and that is why I started this thread! :D

There are plenty of people that dont bother to check back on their threads at all. So while I think the feature would be great, I do not believe it would be used.

Fusetalk has the possibility. Macromedia's forums, which use Fusetalk, has this exact feature!
