Ugh, the movie was...bad. ONE street race? wtf?

Lol, but afterwards. There were a bunch of fart-can Civics and Neons and Cavaliers! They were all revving around the parking lot, trying to do burn outs and trying to go fast.

Annddd then I hear them. A C6 Z06 and a Viper (don't know model) show up, and just completely tear the parking lot up. (there was an adjacent empty one). I've got a video of it on my phone. Haha, all of the ricers left but one or two.

On the way home some kid in what was possibly the loudest Civic I've ever heard rolls up next to me. In my Escort. With a hole in my exhaust. It sounds like death. We're in a 55 zone, and we slowed down to about 20, and he did his gay little honks. I threw it into second, and by the time I had gone to shift to third he was about three car lengths behind me. I backed down about 5 MPH and he did his fly-by. I love that@

I saw Adventureland yesterday. Mainly wanted to see it because I loved superbad and also because Kennywood is my home park. It was really more of a coming of age movie than it was a true comedy. Not nearly as funny as Superbad but not bad overall. It does have it's funny parts but if you are expecting 90 minutes of pure laughing forget about it.

Wait, is this just a remake of The fast and the Furious, but with the SAME actors and a slightly different story line? Pass.

back when a matinee cost $1, tops. sure. When $7 is considered a discount? Fuck no. I have too much self-respect to throw my cash in the shitter like that.

LOL, it just smashed a ton of records pulling in over 70m for the weekend. Now the pundits are all going to opine about how this was something "the country really needed" or how it "testifies to the powerhouse that is Vin Diesel" or some other shit. I personally have no idea what the draw was, but jesus christ.

Be glad you get a discount at all. Where I live, the bullshit "matinee" price is the exact same as a regular adult ticket. Daddy needs something to do during the day...

It was about what I expected. Decent story line.

My major complaint. Shitty cars. Old Skyline again and that horrible POS Subaru STi.

I saw the movie before it came out (some preview thing they do at universities) and would not pay money to see it.

Its good for a laugh and the action. Otherwise, skip any dialogue. Some of the lines are painful to listen to.

The real show comes when people roll out in their modded Civics and try to show off.

the other films were good summer movies...course that didn't stop film snobs from sniffing at them. and the quality held up pretty decent for the sequels, so there was a record of not disappointing. which is more than you can say for most franchises.

anything good from george lucas lately?

I don't understand why they're re-releasing the same movie that came out in what, 2001?
