Isn't this the kind of rhetoric we were told gets people killed?

I can only assume we will shortly see a speech from Obama condemning this hateful rhetoric coming from the left. Can you imagine the outrage from the national media if these were "Tea Baggers"? Is Scott Walker's life at risk from the radical left?

The hypocrisy of the left of this country can't be any more evident by their lack of condemnation of this hateful and threatening rhetoric. And these aren't radical people these are our teachers, our social workers, and our other public employees.

I guess being asked to pay 50% of what the private sector pays for benefits warrants threatening the life of a Governor in the left's eyes.

Absolutely DISGUSTING.. :thumbsdown::thumbsdown::thumbsdown:

People will look back and realize this was the beginning of an era worse than the great depression - once we bankrupt ourselves or ruin the currency. Civility goes out the window in a time of crisis. I assure you, it does not exist.

What's sad is so many people in wisconsin can't see that this isn't an attack on the teachers, but rather an attack on the people who have abused the system for far too long - the public sector unions.

The best part about this is that FNE is only mad that the left is saying nasty things. He's not actually worried about extreme rhetoric, he's just happy to see that ideological opponents are doing things he can be mad about.

This is why he is a worthless poster.

Neither side is civil and the vast majority of people on both sides are idiots. The only that might turn all this around is the internet. If people know their behavior will be recorded and their faces posted on the internet for everyone to remember, they might think twice.

Zzzzzz One of the weaker partisan rants in recent history. Is that saying much? Not so much. Can only assume you were drunk when you posted this.

Imagine if these bills actually suggested cutting the pay of public employees. We might actually have Democrats suggesting we put Republicans in concentration camps. I'm glad you agree that the left is engaging the dangerous rhetoric, I just hope people don't end up dead because they are required to pay a $20 co-pay.

This is the good 'ol USA famous for the largest prison population in the world and the highest homicide rates in the developed world. Violence in movies, rap music, and video games are our specialties. We even fought the bloodiest civil war ever in the name of racism and slavery and now you want civility?

The radical right has been ratcheting up the rhetoric for years now with foam at the mouth billionaires like Rupert Murdoch operating popular "news" channels like Fox. Now that a few lefties are holding up signs you're suddenly worried and calling for civility? What ivory tower do you live in?

Agreed. We're starting to get a glimpse of the tip of the iceberg right now.

Stuff it, man.

Fox News, etc. wouldn't exist if it were not for the obviously left-leaning media this country endured for the better part of 4 decades.

In response to all the people trying to politicize this. Not very eloquent I agree but point made.

EDIT EDIT: NVM FNE I'll save you the hassle... unless I'm mistaken you made no posts here under the FNE account from 1/6/11 to 2/7/11 though you speak as though you, yourself were busy making "posts saying the same thing after the Giffords shooting". I apologize in advance if I am overlooking them.

Looks like he wants to kill someone. I guess since he only used what appears to be a bloody wound and not a target symbol it's OK.

There was another one I saw on TV that had a target right over Gov. Walker's face. Can't find it online though.

Yep, you're right.

Anyhow, this situation reminds me of the "outrage" at one of the major universities in Indiana (my alma mater) about a year ago or so. As a benefit, each employee at this university was given an amount equal to 15% of his/her salary to invest in their retirement fund (and probably some additional matches as well). Due to the financial crisis, it had to be cut to a mere 10% and from the outrage, you would've thought that these guys were asked to skip meals, sell their kids, and prostitute their daughters.

Typical left wing hypocrisy. Civility is only important when it can be used as a guise to quiet conservatives, and the "angry rhetoric" is to blame for all sorts of stuff only if it comes from one side of the political spectrum. When the angry rhetoric comes from the other side it gets covered as "political disagreement" or "people fighting for their rights".

This is why once we go down the subsidized healthcare road we can never go back. People get used to getting a sweet deal from Uncle Sam... when its time to pay Uncle Sam back. people will riot.

The private sector in Wisconsin is simply unable to support this tax burden. The Gov is saving the state... fuck the public sector employees if they have to pay 5% into their retirement or 12% of their healthcare tab. Welcome to everyone else's world. Teachers are averaging $50,000/year in salary in Wisconsin. When big businesses leave Wisconsin because of the huge tax burden that will have to be imposed by the state... what will the teachers do then? When big companies leave so do students and the need for a lot of public sector employees.

The Gov. needs to go Reagan on these people and fire their butts for not being at work.

Sheesh, I guess I have to give thanks to ICF for quoting this post, that's the only way I ever see YOUR posts for a clue as to how useful I think your whole message is. Suggest you do the same.

We even fought the bloodiest civil war ever

Uh, no? Check your facts, son.

The radical right has been ratcheting up the rhetoric for years now with foam at the mouth billionaires like Rupert Murdoch operating popular "news" channels like Fox.

Examples? You might have missed the last 10 years of liberal's calling for Bush's death, comparing him to Hitler, violence breaking out at liberal protests, etc.

The left has almost had a monopoly on violent, hateful rhetoric for almost a decade, but it is always excuse because they have a self-declared moral justification for anything they do.

Now that a few lefties are holding up signs you're suddenly worried and calling for civility? What ivory tower do you live in?

It was the left that made the call for "civility" after Giffords' shooting. They called for civility after accusing the right (quite erroneously) of inciting the violence, and then almost immediately ratcheted up their own rhetoric... with several examples just in the last couple weeks of liberals comparing Republicans to Nazis, calling for the lynching of SC justices, etc.

Of course, again, the left has the moral justification to use any means, any language, and actions to defend their cause, so it's OK.

Using racist language? It's ok, because the right is racist, not the left.
Using violent language? It's ok, because the right is violent, not the left.
