I live in the Northeast and I've only been to a Market Basket once. I always do my grocery shopping at the Hannaford in my town, otherwise I'd have to drive like 15 minutes to get to a Market Basket.

Is it that good?

Was wondering why I never heard of it till I went to their site and learned there are no MarketBaskets in Connecticut, Rhode Island or Vermont. There are three in New Hampshire and one in Maine.

I guess Massachusetts=New England.

The good, better prices than the competition in general. The bad, having to shop at Market Basket.

Mb has been expanding, building large sparkling new stores. They aren't the dives of years ago. The one caveat is that the new stores have cafes, so those stores no longer offer free hot coffee.

I've got a Market Basket, and a Stop and Shop, and a Shaws in the same town. Crazy, huh?

Oh yeah, and a Walmart with groceries.

The town over, has a Price Chopper, and a Target with groceries.
