I was looking at the eVGA mainboard/7800 combo deal, you buy the 7800 and get the mobo free. Tigerdirect had it for $350 or so, Tigerdirect.ca has it for almost $150 more, way more than the exchange rate allows. Price gouging is nothing new, just because it's not as available in a certain market, expect the price to go out.
 
I have spent TENS OF THOUSANDS OF DOLALRS on them and advised people on probably HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS worth of purchases through newegg.

I care about speed, customer service, price, selection, and availability.

Newegg gives this.


Yes they have become more expensive than other stores as of late, but I am willing to pay a premium for their service because if the sh!t hits the fan, they are always there.


Keep hatin' all you want, but it jsut makes you look like you are more and more playing the part of the troll since you act as if there is no where else to shop and a reflipping out over a measly $20.



 
This thread is great! I guess I'll throw in my 2 cents. I love Newegg's content, layout, and reviews.. I buy from them when there's a deal on something I need or can make use of, otherwise the thing I want can usually be bought for much less somewhere else reputible. I use their website to look up numbers or reviews on an item and they come through like a champ in that area. If they are intentionally raising the price it wouldn't surprise me, they need to keep up with competition like eBay, ZZF, and believe it or not.. Best Buy. I don't like it but I understand it, that's it really.
 
I'm no NewEgg fanbois, by a LONG shot, but I just ordered from them today. Even with their shipping price stacking ways, their prices are still lower than the competition. Matter of fact, the HDD I was looking at on Thursday is $3.00 cheaper today!

As has been mentioned over & over, buy from whoeverthefvck you want, it's a free country!
