So I just put together my new system it has: Intel e6750
Patriot 2gb ddr2-800 ram
Gigabyte GA-P35=ds3l rev 2.0 motherboard
Antec Truepower Trio 550w
and it will have an 8800gt but for now I'm trying to use a very old (but verified functioning) PCI card.

So the problem arises after I turn it on all the fans turn on I hear some harddrive whirling and the monitor displays 'no signal'.. I don't have any way to swap out ANY of the parts currently either.. I'm clueless..

okay. have you tried pulling all the ram and booting, it should throw a beeping fit at you, if not, then it's the motherboard.
also, the 24pin and 4 pin are securely and fully seated on the motherboard?

Make sure the monitor has the proper connection selected. On my 2005FPW, I can select D-Sub, DVI-D, S-Video, and Component.

then we know the board is fine, if it will give you the standard bees indicating no ram.

I'd reverify the video is functional, and also like bigj said make sure the monitor is set for the right input.
