Lets hope this new DSL technology - SHDSL picks up and is less of a headache than the DSL technology out now.

SHDSL promises data rates of 2.3Mbps over a single copper pair, as opposed to the 1.5Mbps speeds of conventional DSL lines.

WTF? Qwest offers up to 7 MB lines. I've only seen a couple 7 meg lines ever, but I see lots of 4 meg lines.

I've read about lots of horror stories about DSL like northpoint going bankrupt.

yeah, but when are they gunna implement it? I can barely get dsl.. sdsl 384/384 for $100 a month + $300 for installation.. ouch? cable? 2 way is in beta testing.. ugh.... i would settle for some RADSL.. but noooo.. not close enough...

It's STILL DSL technology, no matter how much they tweak it.

It seems to be an upgrade for SDSL only, not ADSL.
