New drinks to try?...

I turn 21 at midnight...

...and already have the cab scheduled to pick us up at 11:30 lol.

What should I try tonight? Not a huge vodka fan, more of a whiskey guy. But I would definitely like some more recommendations.

Pangalactic Gargleblaster (this one may require leaving Earth).
A quality Manhattan (made with Knob Creek or equivalent).
White Russian.
Mojito.
Prairie Fire (for shits and giggles).

Celebrating your 21st?

Do you really want to enjoy alcohol like a real man THEN get hammered instead of just getting shit faced with shit drinks? Follow my advice:

Mojito with fresh mint and fresh lime juice
Gin and tonic (Sapphire, Bombay, Beefeater... just stay away from Tangueray)
Finish with any respectable single malt scotch (try Glenlivet, Glenfiddich, Macallan), neat (no ice) or 1-2 cubes of ice only. Johnny Walker is not single-malt. It's a blend.

Everything else is just too girly & syrupy for me to enjoy. I enjoy the top two when I crave something sweet and crisp. Scotch is always awesome when you want to get a good buzz and enjoy the complex taste. Beer for everything else.

A new drink I tried last weekend that was very tasty: Ginger Ale and Malibu rum.

I dislike both Ginger Ale and Malibu rum... but together, they were magical.

Rye & ginger is good.

Get some good Canadian Whiskey and mix with Ginger Ale.

Usually bartenders outside of Canada fail at making it, but worth it to try.

Yum.

Old Fashioned, too.

and I've always liked Crown and Ginger. At least, you can be sure to get it anywhere.

also, ye 'ol Pisco sour.

I always feel like a jackass if I order something that I can easily make at home. Mix ginger ale and whiskey... well that's easy. Pay $7 for it plus a tip... No thanks. That's why something like a mojito or daiquiri or Spanish coffee is good; I could make them at home, but it's a hassle. Much more convenient to have someone do it for me in a bar.

OP, that reminds me; Spanish Coffee. It's not just a drink, it's a show. They light that shit on fire and then throw more shit in it just to create some flaming spices. It's like fireworks. You gotta get one of those.

Are you in possession of testicles?

If not

Ive learned to like my whiskey straight. It also gives the illusion that I know my shit about whiskey when I order. Certain bartenders like this and usually pour me more.

That said, I like Bakers and Knob Creek. Cant go wrong with popping Remy either.
