Looks like there is a new P4 core.... this is on my P4-2ghz

472 - [Apr 20 05:48:58 UTC] RC5: Benchmark for core #8 (AK class 7)
0.00:00:16.54 [4,054,226 keys/sec] = 4.0 mkeys/sec

faster too...

On my P3-600@672mhz

469 - [Apr 20 05:53:00 UTC] RC5: Benchmark for core #2 (RG class 6)
0.00:00:16.24 [1,739,573 keys/sec] = 1.73 mkeys/sec

472 - [Apr 20 05:54:17 UTC] RC5: Benchmark for core #2 (RG class 6)
0.00:00:16.59 [1,747,015 keys/sec] = 1.74 mkeys/sec

Little bit faster, hey every little bit counts....

Remember, this IS a pre-release build, so your milage will vary.....

That's great, but I found it slower for K7 chips.

Nice to see they got the P4's to a higher speed. Still looks like it sucks(only 2kkeys/mhz), but every little bit will help.🙂

p4 users should look elsewhere.

distributed folding is a good project for p4 users.

I got too much time and money, mostly time, devoted to RC5 to just switch to another project. And with the project now passed the 75% point. I'll just stick it out with RC5.
