the old stats are still showing

maybe he isn't finished switching over and accidently plugged the internet back in too soon

I took about 10 minutes for me to d/l that file at work when it should have taken 10 seconds. That's why I decided to host it.

I'm sure he's not too concerned about getting the stats switched over just yet ;).

- We have now switched to Phase II of the Distributed Folding Project. This phase will use a new smarter algortihm - see FAQ (to appear shortly) for more details. All user statistics have been reset, but we are keeping all the Phase I information - it will be accessible for viewing in the near future.

who will be the first to return phase II work?

I don't know, but I do know neither one of my boxes here at work did the auto update thing. The one box where it's not running as a service auto updated, but only after I manually stopped and restarted the client.

That may slow down quite a few people in their quest for early domination :).

Hmmmm...DFGui seems to have a problem with service installs. I have one 2 cpu system here running it and dfgui keeps switching and telling me the client has stopped when it hasn't. I have to click 'start client' to get dfgui going again.

Ya Hoooooooooooooooooooooo!

D/L'd, installed and running :D

I put the new dfGUI on there too and it looks great.

Officially, I am now in 65th! (probably not too far off where I'll belong)

Have fun everyone

(auto install didn't work here but manual was smooth as silk.... but I guess it should be considering the number of times I re-installed the phaseI client)

you did the install and install2 like the readme said right?

I use the dfGUI with my service install (single CPU) and it works fine. it might just not like the dual installation. I'd go to Free-DC and ask digital parasite about it if I were you.

I just stopped and restarted the clients. The client transitioned to the new software without any problems. About half the herd is transitioned.

can somebody spain the new stats?

i know it is extremely early, but if it only sends work when it finishes a generation, how can there be such disparity in in the points already?

i shouldn't look at the stats for a couple days i think

You answered your own question :p :D

As far as my problem goes, it was the client fooked up. filelist.txt got corrupted and it wouldn't continue. I had to take it out of service mode and run them normally to find out.

All's well :).

LASTKNIGHT!

PS: FoBoT, what stats are you looking at to see that disparity?... (the only ones I can find that are updating are the main site, showing only lastknight with points)

I've downloaded it, and am running it on 3 machines. A K6-2 380MHz laptop, a P3-500 laptop (borrowed to install Windows, is going back in a couple of days) and i have put it on my Athlon XP 1700+

Will do a little to help out TA in this new stage :)

the real stats, i was looking at everybody, not just TA
one guy had 100 points and somebody had 3542 points, just seemed weird that some had finished the first generation with different # of points, but i don't really know how the points work now

Thanks FoBoT

At first, I thought you had found a site with all users (I didn't realize you meant the top 10s)

Hmmm...I had stopped running DF because of heat issues (yeah, I know, I need a new HSF - using the stock Intel one right now) but being at the start of a new project is too much to resist ;o) Maybe I can run it at a less resource-intensive level until I get the heat issues worked out...

Hmmmm...well, I've got it running at a low client priorit and the temps are a bit toasty but not unbearable. I'm getting about 5100 structures/hour on Generation #5 (gonna have to look look up what's up with all the new terms like "generations", "laxness", "energy" (is "energy" the new equivilent/term for "RMS"?), etc)

LOL

There's a 7.xxxx something up there now! (not mine :( ) it's nsmmxx!

The worst part is that I just got back from posting at F-DC bug tracking that I've been "stuck" at the same spot for nearly 2 hours now.....

I have no idea if that is normal or not. (I thought it was supposed to unstick itself after a few minutes)

edit: Speaking of stats..... Who is SilverDragon.... I like your numbers man! #8 overall :Q
