I assembled a desktop with msi nvidia chipset and installed ubuntu.
there seems to be a problem for ubuntu in recognising the realtek onboard audio card.

now i want to change to windows xp/vista. i did a single partition(250 GB hd) for ubuntu
will there be any problems, do i need to take any special precautions.

any guidance is helpful...

You may have a problem with the MBR. If you do, just clear it out. Other than that, just a quick format and it should be smooth sailing.

You will need to format the hard drive and repartition. The Windows set up should take care of those things for you.
