Most of the changes happening middle of the month for the Mini 10. Looks like "Argos" is set to replace the Mini 12.

i think $500 for a netbook is too expensive. that encroaches into low priced laptop region (but with less features). i think theres going to be an eee w/ an optical drive but that seems like ti defeats the purpose of a netbook

Well when its 12" netbook, I don't think its overpriced. Reason? It can do just about as much as a laptop. Most mainstream laptops at that price you cannot game, same with netboooks. All other tasks are pretty much on par. Now you may not be able to run PSE or anything, but you gain boatloads of battery life and its about half the weight.

I think once you get to a 12" screen, it ceases to be a netbook. 😛

Of course I guess you can't blame companies for taking advantage of the netbook marketing craze. I'm waiting until they start trying to sell 13" or 14" laptops as netbooks, lol.

What the heck is wrong with 13 or 14 inch screens? No one wants a cramped keyboard to type on. To me, a netbook means ultraportable weight with a neutered processor.

but if you increase the screen size, you decrease the battery life. using led backlighting would help some, but not all would be using led panels
