New Dell Laptops - "tri-metal" chasis?

What exactly is this? There were references made to it in articles on the web, but I can't find much about it on Dell's website. Is the whole case metal? or just the internal structure?

LCD Panel is magensium, and the bottom chassis is plastic from what I've been told.

Yep, pretty much. There may be metal reinforcement here and there throughout.

I'm looking at the Latitude D600 and I want to know how sturdy is compared to the C600 series and Inspiron 4150. Is the keyboard on the D600 solid or bouncy?
