Dear Valued Affiliates:

Some of you may have noticed that the level of discounts on our affiliate offers this week have been smaller discount coupons than in the past. This is because we have slightly changed our pricing on both Dimensions and Inspirons for all systems on Dell.com generally resulting in a more simplified pricing structure and lower regular prices for our customers.

With these changes, the coupons that we now distribute going forward will at first seem like the discounts are less than what they use to be, however, after the new coupons are applied to the new regular price of the system, the affiliate customers generally will still receive end prices on par with the old discounts.

---

So that may explain the lower discounts with new coupons.

15% off the X51v...hmm, wonder if that will combine with the offer they already have at Dell Home...that would be about $406+tax for the X51v and an extra battery with two year warranty (I ordered an X51v from Dell SB the other day, with no extra battery and a 1 year warranty for $399)

Yeah, except the price for the 700m has gone UP in the past few weeks as the coupons have come down 😡

Thanks Brad, I guess I'll finally have to bite on another 700m for my mom.

That's the machine I've wanted for about 6 weeks now, but I'm not paying $1125 after coupon for a machine that is not worth more than $750 🙁

I don't think so. Take for example the DELL 2005FPW - 22% @ $699 would still make its price $559 (which is the actual price that is being offered by DELL currently)!

I have waited some time to try this - I want to see what kind of component I get from DELL if I order the component @ a higher price-point ratio. I had ordered the 2005FPW @ ~400 two times, and both the times I was disappointed (total of five exchanges). My friend had done the same thing - but he ordered one two weeks back and got a perfect monitor ($597 after tax). I have flamed DELL in some of my other posts, and I just want to make sure what's going on. The whole thing could have been a coincidence, but I am longing to find out. There are many customers out there who kept this monitor, even though they knew it was flawed. I maybe picky, but I value my dollars 🙂. I think the coupons aren't going to offer bigger discounts, and it makes sense too - more money for DELL. If I see a perfect monitor @ $550 in more than one instance, it must be true that DELL is actually sending out parts that were flawed or returned during its "quarter-end sale." I have nothing against DELL, but I want to find out what the issue is.

Could anyone of you who ordered this monitor @ the regular price share your experience here? Thanks.

You're right. You can't even use the coupons with the model with a $200 rebate. What a load of crap!

I wouldn't count on Dell as a source for good bargains anymore. Their last quarter was bad and their stock is down from 41 to 34 in just a couple of months. Now they announce these "new" overpriced XPS machines, 2 of which look suspiciously like the old 5100C and 9100 (now the XPS 200 and XPS 400 -- at higher prices it appears).

Very disappointing... I'm glad I got my LCDs when I did!

So apparently they removed the already existing discounts...thus making the price with this 15% off coupon actually more than the price I paid at SB....no thanks 😉

(I'll either keep my SB order or possibly cancel it and go with an X50v from FS/T here.)

pardon my ignorance but where are the coupon codes ? or are these immediate discounts with no need of coupon codes ?

Anybody know which Canon cameras qualify for the coupons? I've tried both the sd400 and sd450 with no luck 🙁

Edit: Got the sd20 to work with the 20% off coupon. How does this compare with the sd400 or sd450?

I've been waiting to get the 700m... is the 25% coupon a good deal to jump on? Or am I likely to get a better deal if I hold out a little longer?

in their defense their deals are still excellent when compared to their competitors.

Depends. Dell has the kodak v550 camera for $399 (no coupons work on this camera), whereas you can get the same camera for $312 or so at butterfly photo.
