This is from another board:

"I just spoke with a Dell salesman who was just briefed on the new Dell's coming out this month.

The 8300 is due but I didn't ask many questions about this system.

What intrigued me was a completely new line; a gaming system he called the XPC(or XPS-he wasn't quite sure on the model number yet). This system has an all new case design that's taller and wider than the 8200 series. It will have 3 5.25" drive bays and will be midnight blue and black in color. He went on to mention some of the new features: A Radeon 9800 pro graphics card, 512MbDual DDR400 memory, firewire and USB 2.0 front and back, 2 serial ports, a DVD burner and CD-RW drive(with an extra unused 5.25" drive bay). It will be equipped with a nice 460 watt power supply and 3 fans! Go ahead Dell!! (Finally)

Enjoy,

Mike"

That's cool and all but I think it will be a more expensive computer with mostly the same parts.

There is little difference to most users when you compare the 4550 to the 8250, I think this will be the same.

I think they will charge buyers a lot of *hidden fee for that, I would rather make a gaming machine myself.
