New Dell 24" LCD 2407WFP-HC..Much Better Colors

I just got the 3007WFP-HC semi used for $920, and a 8800GTS 640mb to run it. Hopefully it will be OK for some light gaming, maybe scaled down to 1920x1200. The HC was important to me, since I edit 10 mp pics. Unfortunately I won't be able to use it until I get back to college in a couple weeks (I had it shipped to school). How are you guys finding your HCs and do you find a 8800GTS capable to run your 24"?

I got a 2407WFP-HC more than two weeks ago. Made in Mexico in July 2007. I don't have the ghosting problem, which appeared right after I ordered my monitor. I got lucky.

I would not order a 2407WFP-HC today. I would wait for this issue to be solved.

Well the 2407 HC arrived, was setup and.....

That dark ghosting behind light objects moving on dark backgrounds drove me crazy from the outset, tried all the tweeks under the sun and still no joy.

Contacted Dell to be told it is a problem they are aware of and trying to fix, they couldn't guarantee me this would be replaced/fixed under warranty should they ever actually find a suitable fix.

Less than 24 hours after it was unpacked it is now back in the box, and a refund request awaits the supplier on their return from the weekend.

My quest for a 24" Widescreen continues, I am now reading many more Benq FP241W Reviews. Might end up with one of those once my refund has been processed.
