Which is the 'stable' version? Im using 0.3.9.10, and its been running fine for 4.5 hours.
I had to upgrade to that version as the other would just close by itself after a few minutes.

Ok, good thing I clicked on that one. I really have no idea on how to install DC programs. SoB was so simple compared to the way other programs seem to be.

So after installing the Java needed to run this DC, does javaw.exe take up that much memory? Its sucking 45mb at the moment and was 36mb earlier last night.

I'm seeing the Javaw taking about 40MB ram, and negligible amounts of CPU (I'm running SOB as well).

No other Java appls running at the moment.

Hmm... I am not connecting and mapping currently. All I get is:

5/9/05 5:41 PM dimes.scheduler.Scheduler sendReceive
INFO: Exchanging files with server...
5/9/05 5:41 PM dimes.comm2server.ExponentialBackupCommunicator sendReceive
WARNING: incoming file is null or empty

Over and over again. Any thoughts?

I'm getting a similar error on a second machine I set up. Anyone have an idea?

Just had a nice storm. Power was knocked off for a few seconds and all the computers went off and stayed powered down as they were meant to do (yeah yeah....I should have a UPS, expensive with 7 systems though). However as I went around booting them up, the DIME agent won't load now. I double click on the icon, get a hourglass/Pointer then nothing else. Reinstalling java, the agent and rebooting after the installs don't seem to help at all. Only system out of 7 that this hasn't happened to is my AMDXP +3000 rig. It suffered the same outage but it bootup with the agent running as it should have done.

Any ideas on what happened?

Not really. The servers are still working, although the stats pages got messed up this morning.

I'll post a note in the project forums (which are NOT very busy), see if we can get a little help.

Stats:
Team is up to #19 today. 😀

Got it. Java was corrupt after the reboots and then the uninstaller didn't completely take it out so it was just reinstalling over corrupt installs. Got it working now but it was a pain. Wish they would make the client easier to install and use. Also found out you can't reuse computer names once you reinstall the clients.

Already have. My actual chosen name is rabidjade but I screwed up on the forums when I first got here and got it locked. I don't have a "given" ISP email address and rely on hotmail for all my email needs. 😉

we need to get more involvement in this project. With low CPU overhead, it could run easily along any other DC project.

Sigh....

More problems connecting....

ssvegeta1010...I see the servers are reporting work for you, it must have picked back up again. I have to say, this client/server both seem to require quite a bit of hand-holding. was away for the weekend, and several clients were down. 🙁

I see we have some new members, although they haven't gotten any stats credits yet.

Just found out...this project got slash-dotted...so their server are having some "issues" keeping up w/ the load. Expect Stats to be few/far between while they work out some of the bugs.
