There isn't enough info on DX10 for any developer to do this, it must be 9. They will probably update it to 10 later though.

Looks like a lot of pixel shading, HDL blooming, and some serious high res texturing.

Speaking of pixel shading, I'm wondering if this technology and/or UE3 will start to take advantage of the massive number of pixel shaders on ATI hardware (X1900 series), and create a rift between the two technologies...

Time will tell, I guess.

Without making this into a ATI V Nvidia thread i would say that you are right. This game looks very very shader heavy.
Also the indication that this was at an ATI booth also tends to agree with all this.
numbers that people seem to be getting playing Oblivion (shader heavy) also indicate that ATI would be the card to buy if you want a card to run this game resonably.

someone buy me a the quad core thing form intel for next gen and some other stuff like beta x3900xtx's and ****** so i can run this game

Nice. Let's see if G8x/R6xx can handle that tech, or if they're going to scale it back at release to meet reasonable hardware requirements.

Goddamn gun-camera. Please use body awareness like Riddick. It makes a big impact on realism. If I look down I should be able to see my feet.

so serously who thinks that the game will really look like that when it ships? and what are the people with old videocards or like me sli 7900gt's who want to enjoy the game(eye candy damit), are we supposed to upgrade in six months? i have love hate relationship with technology

also does anyone have any info on dx10? like if current cars will be able to use it?

If crysis is supposed to be a dx10/sm4 game, what exactly are they using to show it off?

Well if it isn't gpu accelerated then it is rendered by the cpu

No, it's a game based off of DX8/DX9 with the likely hood of DX10 optimization for performance. I have not heard anything about DX10 that will offer more visual quality but an overall system performance boost.

i'd not recommend mouth watering just yet. remember how awesome oblivion looked at e3. then compare it to oblivion now.

Yeah...and it looks the exact same. The game was using the exact same graphics at last years E3 as it is now.

That would be illigal. Even though I'm sure bugmenot is braking every user service agreement on every site.
