New Crysis screenshots

#1 looks like it's in game viewed from someone else... #2 and #3 look CG.

since crytek still has control over the game.. i think we'll eventually see it 🙂

I hate the way they release these high resolution shots with possible AA and all the detail to get us all excited. Yet it could be running at 2fps.

I think you are being a bit unfair. Screenshots generally never look as good as they do in game. I don't blame them for enabling AA and releasing high res screenshots. Because chances are, when the game is moving it actually will look like that! My Oblivion screenshots that I created don't look anywhere near as good as they do in game and this applies to pretty much any game I take a screenshot of.

But, in any case, Crytek isn't the only developer that does this. ID, Epic, Valve, etc... All do the same thing and for good reason in my opinion. What do you want them to do, release a POS, low resolution highly compressed jpeg? Come on guys, lets get a little more real here.

I have no problem with them doing it. I was just agreeing that the FPS are probably very low. I abolustly think they they should make the SS's look at good as possible. Its not like hardware won't catch up some before the game is released.

They're done with the game, content-wise. All remaining work is going into optimizations and the like.

Here's a quote from the newest interview with Jack Mamais.

6) Could you please tell us your system specs and explain how well Crysis is running on it?

I have an Athlon 3500+ Processor and a Radeon X1900 with 2 gigs of Ram and Crysis runs great on my machine at most settings. The official specs are not final yet, but rest assured it will run on 3 year old computers by the time we release our game.

Note: There is still a lot of optmizations to go, so this really is great news for all pc gamers.

😀

That would be fantastic... I was afraid it'd be another SM3.0 only game that I couldn't play. Not that I would be able to play it well in the first place, but play it nonetheless.
