I bought a Xeon e3110 and installed it with the new 13o BIOS for my Gigabyte 965P-DS3. I had an e6600 in it working fine which is what I flashed BIOS with. The flashing went fine and it booted into the 13o BIOS which is for 45nm CPUs.
The new CPU didn't post at all, so I assumed it was because the mobo wasn't made for the Xeon even though it's the same core as the e8400 which some people have been getting to work on Rev 2.0 of this mobo - I have Rev 3.3. I put the old CPU back into it and still no post.
No beeps, no nothing - just fans.
I've taken it apart 3 times now and still no post. Any more ideas?
