I decided to do a little upgrading to the herd :)

I should have all of them up and running in about 10 hours from now.
Here is something I thought everyone would like to see however.
I purchased a new cpu yesterday. It's a new revision of the Thunderbird according to the serial number.

Can you tell me what's diferent about this cpu?

Look closely

WooHoo!!!!

New sig will be as follows
TBird 1.3 GHz, TBird 1.3 GHz, TBird 1024 MHz, Duron 1.0 GHz, P3 800.
The P3 being embarrased by this bunch has to go soon as well :p

If you didn't see the "new" change in the cpu. The 1.2 GHz L1 Bridges are closed by default!

Thats rare to see a Level 1 Bridge closed like that! Most of them these days a re locked or laser cut, so you can't use Multiplyer settings...

I noticed it!

i think they close them on most of the 1.2(and 1.1? ) ghz because the multiplier only goes up to 12.5, its not worth it to gain an extra 50 mhz or so for most people.

The cpu I was able to get locally.
I had all intentions of picking up a 1.1. But the owner siad , "hey look at this. This TBird has the bridges closed already."
BTW he got two in, both had the L1 bridges closed.
Both are gone, someone grabbed the other when I did...

Is this actually a new revision, or do all 1.1 and 1.2GHz TBirds have the L1s closed!!

This could be interesting!!

Yes can't do it.
Locks the system up anything over 105 FSB
I'm looking forward to getting a KT133a to really push the cpu.
