Upgrading from an xp2600+ tbred and an asus a7n8x-x (crappy overclocker!) to either...

s754 athlon64 3000 and a DFI Lanparty nforce3 250Gb mobo now,

or wait till mobo prices drop and get the DFI nforce4 SLI mobo with a 939 a64 3000. (would need a new pci-e gfx card too)

I would like to have a stable overclocking platform, and not spend too much $$$.

 
the Asus A8V is a good board too. The 939 is the best choice I believe... offereing 128 memory controller... etc. Hard to find a good board ;-) nforce3 isn't necessary tho. Or the nforce4 might be worth waiting for.
