New Corsair 650TX PSU installed, but nothing showed up

I just got my Corsair 650TX PSU from the mail today. Installed it and connected everything. When I turned the power on, nothing showed up. I did see red lights, and I thought "oh no...". So I went to check the manual and said if it red, then my old PSU must've taken out my CPU out at the same time. I did see my graphic card spinning, *relief* So I just wanted to double check with you guys if that's my CPU is totally gone/dead for good? I checked all connectors and made sure there was no problem. Everything was connected and well plugged.

My specs under sig as usual:

MSI K9N2 SLI Platinum
AMD 64 X2 4000+ 2.8Ghz (OC'D)
Bios Version 3.1 (6/3/2008)
2X 2 GB Corsair RAM 5-5-5-18 468.8 MHZ
EVGA 8800GT 512MB DDR3
16X DVD+/- RW Dual Layer
Corsair 650TX Watts PSU

Any help would be deeply appreciated.

Do the drives start spinning up when you turn power on? Do you get any beep codes from the motherboard at powerup?

Did you plug in the square 4 pin?
