new cooler released for those with Radeon HD2900 XT & PRO

Read it again... they tested the AMD version... there is also the Accelero Xtreme 8800 which was designed for GeForce 8800 Ultra, GTX and GTS (G80) ... Now can someone please correct me if I am wrong but wouldn't a GT have the same fitting as a GTSv1?

Also ignore the trolls giving 0 stars to threads... I gave 5 stars and it brought this up from 0 to 2... so that means 2 guys just came in and gave this a zero... probably didn't even post in here.

I am getting pretty sick of that kind of trolling...
 
Looks nice at least... but where does it blow the hot air to? Inside the case?? I can see the holes still in the backplate on the 2900, but there's no ducting to push the air out that way... all I can see is that it'll just blow it onto the heatsink and then out into the case..

Does that mean you then have to upgrade your case cooling as well to cover the extra heat??

The 8800gt actually has a cooler mounting design similar to the 7900 series cards, so it's not compatible with coolers designed for the 8800gtx.
 
Pretty nice cooler although I would have liked to see comparison results with the HR-03/ R600 which is the only other after market 2900 cooler on the market (that I know of). Nonetheless if I were looking to buy an after market cooler I'd probably buy that one- 3 fans 🙂.
