New Computer

I am ready to build my new comp but havent been looking at whats new for over a year. Now I see AMDs 64 bit processors might be the way to go. But should I go with the 939 or 754. Also whats a good mobo to go with this processor?

Depends if PCIe/near future upgradeability mean anything to you.

NF4/K8T890 boards have PCIe, but you can still get AGP NF3 or K8T800 Pro boards for 939 too.

I think there's one PCIe board out now for 754, and it has some SiS chipset. NF4 boards are eventually supposed to trickle down to there, but 939 support looks like it will be stronger.

Would the 754 be faster, I might just go with that route till my next comp build then do 939 when everything is cheaper/more stable.

754 and 939 are about equal in performance when everything else is kept equal. As I said, it's an upgradeability issue.

Wow A8N-SLI $270 never seen a mobo worth that much lol, is it worth it.

SLI's not really worth it unless you have tons of cash to burn or a 19x14 display to drive at 60fps AA/AF max details in games.

Ok well count that one out then lets go back to a 939 board but with AGP, whats a good video card to go with that combo in the 200-300 range.

6600GT or 6800 vanilla, though a better value for your $300 looks to be the upcoming X800 XL, which will provide performance near the 6800GT for $300. It will be PCIe only, though, but with good boards like the Chaintech VNF4/Ultra at $130 (the same range as most other 939 boards, including those with AGP) you shouldn't encounter any extra expense over an AGP setup.
