9600xt will be the weak link, that will NEED to be replaced in 2 years prolly, and you will want to replace it in one

Did you see the latest issue of MaximumPC where someone wrote in to say that last year's dream pc is worth half of what it was when you compare the prices for all of the parts.

Im not even sure if a 9600xt is enough for farcry or doom on low settings. MY OC'ed nonpro 9800 can barely handle mid quality occasional without FPS drops in Farcry (AA and AF on mid quality,1280*960). You would be much better off saving $ with a 3200 and spending it on a 6800gt, which should be able to handle though the Farcry/doom/hl2 cycle. Im not sure about games coming out 2-3 years down the road though.

That magazine (when under another name) used to be a great magazine. Now they are just crap.
