Ok here is the deal, I have an Epox 8KHA+, a AMD XP 1600, and ATI Expert 32mb agp, crucial ddr pc 2100. Ok my cpmputer use to start, but all of a sudden i get nothing except beep, beep, beep over and over. On the motherboard i have a post code of c1. Here is the kicker, if i turn my computer off, my optical mouse stays on, until i hit the surge protector! Dammit, i was supposed to give this computer to someone tomorrow! Can anyone help me??

Reseat the video card, memory, and CPU.

BTW, my optical mouse stays on when my PC is powered off via ATX as well.

I never thought twice about it.

Viper GTS

That the mouse stays on is normal when Keybd power on is active... them PS/2 ports don't run with air you know 🙂

otherwise I believe c1 postcode means a RAM problem, check if you can get another RAM Module and try it out.

That beeping sound is a code your motherboard uses to tell you what's wrong... You can reference your motherboard's manual to see what that code means...

ok, i re-seated the ram, that didn't help, next i cleared the c-mos and bow it loads to the windows 2000 "blue screen".. i get a error, if i am getting this far, is it probably not my cpu, or mb, or ram?
