New Computer - weird graphics/display problem

Just put my new rig together... And seems to be running okay except for a very odd display issue.

System Specs:
i5 3570k
ASRock Z77 Extreme4
MSI R7950 Twin Frozr III
8gb GSkill Ripjaws

So the issue is this: I have 2 monitors hooked up, 1 via HDMI and 1 via DVI (Since this GPU doesnt have 2 DVI like my last one did)

HDMI: Gateway 24" 1920x1200 Model FHD2400 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16824113012)
DVI: Acer 19" Model AL1914

On my previous computer I had both running out of DVI and had it set as "Extended" desktop with different resolutions for each one... 1920x1200 on the 24" and I think 1280x1024 on the 19" ... This worked for me never had issues.

Now I cant set my 24" above 1920x1080 without it going all blury with lines and weird crap all over it... Is this because its connected via HDMI? Does the HDMI not like going above 1080?

Have you tried a different/newer cable? I'm wondering if maybe you're just using an old HDMI cable that can't handle the bandwidth of the higher resolution?

Okay I think it is the HDMI input on the monitor... I had an old HDMI to DVI cable (seriously 4-5 years old) I plugged it into the HDMI on Video Card to DVI on Monitor and it works beautifully....

The only issue is this cable is 15 feet long~~ Thats a lot of extra cable behind my desk LOL
