New Computer Unstable

My new PC that I built when Ivy Bridge was released has been the most unreliable and troublesome PC that I have ever had.
I have been getting Bluescreens with ntfs.sys, memory_management, SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION stop screens.

Video card driver crashes, Microsoft Image Composite Editor crashes and Vegas Movie studio crashes(this one might not be to unusual).

In addition I have seen strange errors on flash drives and my card reader in the system error log like "The driver detected a controller error on \Device\Harddisk3\DR5." or "An error was detected on device \Device\Harddisk3\DR3 during a paging operation."

The two previous systems that I built were very reliable and essentially problem free.

My system specs are:
I7-3770
Intel DH77EB Mother Board
8GB Crucial CT2KIT51264BA160B memory
Antec TP-550 Power Supply
Gigabyte GV-R777D5-1GD HD7770 Video Card
Fractal Design Define R3 case
Crucial M4 256GB SSD
Hitachi HIHDI2 2TB Deskstar
Old Western Digital Hard Drive
Hauppauge WinTV HVR-1250 Tuner Card
LITE-ON DVD BURNER | IHAS324-99 RT
Win 7 64bit Pro
I believe that I have the most up to date driver and firmware for everything.

My processor temp is currently 34 deg and the voltages are all normal. I am not overclocking.

What can I do to troubleshoot this system?

What BIOS version do you have installed? Is it version 0041 or higher? If not, you'll need a BIOS update to support the processor you have installed.

Try clearing the CMOS memory, and then reset the BIOS to default options to see if that makes a difference. I'd also download utility software from the Hitachi and WD websitese to test the hard drives for faults. Also, like denis said, try running the machine on one stick of DRAM. If the first stick doesn't work, try swapping the 2nd one in and repeating.

Is your SSD plugged into SATA port 1? It seems to make a difference on some machines for some reason. Also, it might be a good idea to make sure that there isn't a firmware update available for the drive. Another thing to try is to remove the SSD and see if Windows will install on the Hitachi drive to try to eliminate the SSD as the source of the problem.

Firstly as Denis said you should check your RAM with Memtest, also check your BIOS to make sure you're running AHCI and not IDE or RAID. Another thing to do is uninstall your video drivers while in Safe Mode, run CCleaner to clean out your registry, then download and install the latest drivers from the official site which for you would be: http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/Pages/index.aspx

I doubt BIOS version is to blame as if it was, the system would have just refused to boot. Based off the symptoms you're describing there are some serious execution holes or just memory leaks. Likely culprits:
1. Broken video drivers, remnants of past installs might be messing with current one
2. Faulty memory, does describe your problem quite well
3. Corrupted installs of programs/OS, you should definitely install some anti-virus software and do a full scan of the system, along with running Malwarebytes and some online scans (I believe TrendMicro had a good one).

Thanks for the help, I have found that I have a bad stick of ram. Interesting thing is that I ran the built-in windows memory tester for 12 hours and it did not find any problems. I then ran memtest86+ for 12 hours and it did not find any problems.

After this I decided to run through all of the programs listed for stability testing in the CPU forum and LinX found errors. I removed 1 stick of ram and received errors quicker. I swapped the ram sticks and ran the test for 3 x 20 runs and did not find errors.

I them experimented with the two sticks of ram in different slots and the bad stick failed in multiple slots and the good stick passed in multiple slots.

I will be calling Crucial on Monday.
