new computer setup help

I would probably choose another motherboard. I have no experience with that chipset. Have you considered an NForce4 motherboard?
 
Dump the Benq DVD burner and get one of the Toshiba's for about $5 less. You can also save some money by picking up some Corsair Valueselect 1GB (2X512) memory.

Possible to also switch the motherboard with one of the ECS Elite SLI board, has gotten good reviews for the price (see latest CPU mag for a good print review).
 
well i don't really need sli 😛 and even anandtech front page review speaks well for the asrock.

and i thought nec3540/benq1640 is the best out there?
