new computer reboots when installing XP

Hey I just bought some new parts for a new computer and using an existing HD I had...
athlonxp 2500+, nf7-s v2.0, thermaltake damier v case, thermaltake PSU...

Installation went fine, computer is able to boot... So I installed my HD, it has windows xp already on it, I was hoping it would boot... a Safe mode selection window popped up, and the the computer would just cycle no matter what options I pressed...
Figured windows xp didnt want to boot because of so many hardware changes... So i loaded up the HD onto a second computer as a secondary drive, backed up my files there, formatted it on there as well...

Installed a cdrom, popped in the windows xp cd, after its done loading drivers, it comes to the screen 'Press R to repair, Press Enter to enter setup' screen... I'm sure you guys know which one im talking about... Well no matter which option I select, again it reboots on me...

I tried switching the AGP video card I had for a PCI one, and also swapping memory...
Both doesn't seem to do anything...

Computer runs absolutely fine except for that one big major problem...
Also I disabled serial ata, firewire, onboard lan/audio on the nf7-s... still no luck..

Anyone have a clue?

get a bootable (DOS) floppy disk and fdisk it to contain no partition whatsoever, then try to load winxp on it from scratch. most likely that will fix you up.
