New computer problem

I have a problem with a new computer. Please help.
Here is configuration.
Asus P4C800, P 4 2.4 FSB800, 2 X 256 sticks Kingston HyperX .
After I have put everything together I has no problem at all. The for some reason I thought I got memory installed wrong. I thought in order to use dual-channel memory I have to use banks with different colors. So I did. As soon as I restarted the system it beeped twice. Acording to the AMI BIOS beep codes that means "Parity problem". I have moved memory back but still have two beeps. I have reset bios. That did not help either. Any ideas?

Thanks

Try using only 1 stick and if it still does that swap sticks. Or set BIOS not to halt on any errors. You could also try clearing the CMOS via the motherboard jumpers. Check out the manual it will show you how to do that.

Try using the same color ram slots. If that doesn't work, you may have to try a different brand of ddram. Check the manual or asus website for recommended memory.

But like I said I did not have the problem originally. It started after I changed memory location.
Second thing. do I really have a problem? Are there any test utilities to test memory or something?

Thanks

I run the P4P800, and the bank requirements for DCM are 1st and 3rd, 2nd and 4th, or all 4, where the 1st bank is closest to the CPU. I run 3dMark2002 for memory benching, and Memtest to check for errors. I believe you can find links for both in the o/c forum.
