Below are the components I have selected for a new computer, to be used for office apps only. Please tell me any changes I should make or any compatibility issues. I would like to run Vista on this also.

Thanks.

Make it 2GB of RAM.

IIRC, the WD "JS" models have only 8MB of cache. Get a KS model with 16MB.

Is this just going to be a surfing/office PC?

Specs look good to me for that purpose.

I love the WD 160's I have 2, but both are the IDE version. They run very quiet and cool, very reliable, good choice, even with their 8mb cache.
Why the samsung drive? I go with the NEC generic version, unless I want it to be quality, then I go with a SONY.
Just my opinion..

If silence is important, then I would go with Antec P150 (or Antec Solo + PSU) if you could afford it, but that's a personal choice.

You'll really appreciate 2GB of RAM if you're really going to run Vista.
