Hi!This is my first post!
Ok i will start telling you my problem.
System spects
Case:Coolermaster Stacker 831
Motherboard:Asus maximus formula
Cpu:Q6600 Go
RAM😱CZ 800mhz 5-4-4-15
PSU:Corsair TX750w
Cpu cooler:Thermalright 120 extreme
Graphics card:Twintech 8800gts 512
I recently bought the above computer,and i start building up!
When i was going to put the motherboard on the case,i noticed that the screws couldnt reach the exact position of the place they should be,so i have to cut a little the case to fit,and i made it.Does anyone else had the same problem with me?
When i finished building up my computer i turned on and i notice that the motherboards leds were on,the fan was working,but on the screen i couldn't see anything.
I saw on the lcd poster that it froze on the DET DRAM process.I checked the qvl for my motherboard and i figure out that the motherboard didn't support any ocz(the memories are working fine).I tried some memories from a friend of mine(kingstone 800mhz)and i had the same problem.I can't see anything.So my questions are:What do you think is not working right?Also did you had the same problem as i had with the motherboard on the stacker case?
What should i do?
 
I'd do a bare post out of your case to make sure nothing is shorting out against metal, since you don't have a perfect fit. Just the cpu/heatsink, video, and one stick of memory. Reinstall the memory if unsure; you should hear 2 distinct clicks as each side inserts under the clip. Use a phonebook or the box your board came in. Works for me every time.
 
I gave it to a computer store,and they told me that the memory is the problem,and i will order a new one now.So i was right with the memory problem.Can the users of asus maximus formula tell me which memories are using?I didn't see many answers for my post...I hope i am using my english well...
 
Your English is understandable to say the least, anyways if you used your friend's ram, which I assume you knew was working, why would the ram be the problem here?
 
The qvl from asus didn't show any ocz for my motherboard,also the lcd poster froze at the Det DRAM,and i thought it will be a memorie problem,and i gave the computer to the shop,and they told me that the tried with super talent,and the computer works fine.I have to buy a new memory now.Can you suggest anything?Where is the speaker cable in the stacker?
 
I saw the anandtech review,for my motherboard.They are using ocz.I had ocz 6400,they used the 9200,whats the difference?Why my motherboard is not working with 6400?
