Just finished setting up my new computer and installing WIN XP SP2..

Two issues I'm having...

1) I am using a MSI K8N Neo 2 Platinum board. It has onboard sound.. I installed a Turtle Beach Santa Cruz Sound card.. Its works fine, but under Device Manager, it's showing me that I haven't installed the driver for the onboard sound (AC RealTek).. do I need to install it (my sound works fine now) and should I disable it in the BIOS??

2) Also for some reason, every time I boot up the 'Safely Remove Hardware' Icon pops up in my system tray, and the device it asks me if I want to remove is my C:/ Harddrive... how can I stop this from happening on every boot?

Thanks

Windows XP generally disregards what the BIOS has set when in ACPI mode.
While it will not hurt not installing the drivers, you can install them and just
DISABLE them.

Yes, the On-Board AUDIO should be DISABLED in the BIOS (50-50 chance of it removing the device in XP).

Do you have the Hard Drive in a Removable HD Caddy?
