I just built my friend a new computer and everything is hooked up correctly and boots up ok. But when i try to install windows xp it starts the install fine, but then the system just shuts off, and wont come back on for like 5 minutes. now i am thinking it is a power supply problem, but he just got it, it is brand new. anyone know what could be causing this?

If you could please list the specs of the system.

Could be a heat issue.

Also make sure the PSU is set to 115. If its set to 220 it might do something like that.
