Power supply... if you really were on a big budget, get a forton blue storm 500w.

Coolermaster = no for psu.
Hmm, if that lite-on does not support dual layer, get a BenQ DW1640.
You can also get an Epox 9NPA+ Ultra since it looks like you aren't SLIing.

that is all.

Hmm..
7800gt for $300 AR
Otherwise I'd fall back to a 6800gs.
Then maybe upgrade to an opteron 165.
But for games, try and get the 7800gt.

NOOOOO............ Steer away. Aspire has low +12v rails.

Forton bluestorm 500w. that is the lowest you should be going.
Otherwise Enermax 485w noisetaker.
and then bump to Seasonic S12 500w (best IMO)
and then PC P&C 510w (most expensive, very stable, BUT LOUD!!!!!!!!!!!)

with a 7800gt no, for budget PC building, you still don't want a mediocre psu for a power-demanding video card.

with a 6800gs, possibly.
Antec Sonata II with 450w Smartpower 2.0

Word of advice.
NEVER SKIMP ON THE POWER SUPPLY, PERIOD.

if you skimp on the psu. Hmm.. lots of options.
1. Your computer might not boot at all.
2. You have a higher risk of destroying your pc <--- THE BIG ONE...
3. Your psu might die sooner
4. Not as stable rails, fluxuating between 5-10%

A 6800gt is an nv40 core with 16 pipeliness on a 6-series PCB board.
a 6800gs is a nv42 core with 12 pipelines on a 7-series PCB board.

I'd still attempt for a 7800gt, otherwise get a 6800gs and upgrade some stuff.

Uhh... yes...... lol...
But preferably. get a 6800gs, since 6800gt is soon to be outdated again... Same with the 6800gs... To be outdated by the 7800gs.
Your choice.

go Black Friday shopping (day after thanksgiving) and see if you can get better deals. if not, then change your mobo to the ASRock for $70 or some other cheaper mobo. ASRock is a good all around card. get the 7800gt from TD. it's $300. get opteron 144 if you're willing to OC
