i want to build a new computer with several screens, do I need to buy several video cards or do I buy a motherboard with a video card on board the motherboard and it has a video card slot with where I can put a video card that can have a video card that has two different video card outputs along with the motherboard video card which equals three all together. also I want a bad ass computer. any suggestions on a motherboard processor combo? its been years since I built one. I think the last one I built was in 2007. just saying. suggestions? thanks fellows!!

Choose a (one) video card accordingly.

If "several" means three then you should be OK with most high end cards.
 
In order to use multiple graphics cards, there is underlying hardware that is required by both AMD and NVIDIA in order to run their graphic cards solutions. AMD's graphic solution is branded CrossFire while the NVIDIA solution is named SLI
