New computer build gives no signs of life

I've assembled a new computer and it shows no signs of life at all when I hit the power switch. I've messed with the power switch connector and I'm positive that it's on correctly. I'm thinking that the motherboard may be grounding to the case. Any other ideas? It's an Epox 8RDA+ with 512 crucial, 2400+, Radeon 9500, etc. Thanks.

If you plugged any front-USB-port wiring into the USB3 header on the motherboard, unplug that and see if the board starts up now. If that doesn't fly, try touching the Power Button pins on the mobo with a metal object to make a momentary connection, and see if it works then.

I pulled out my USB3 header and I've been using the screwdriver trick on it. Still no activity.

Hmm yeah, sounds like it needs to come out of the case then :( Good luck, and keep an eye on those springy things on the I/O panel, maybe they're getting into your USB or LAN jacks or something?

Hah - you called it :) It was grounding out on the IO shield. I think I'm just going to cut off all of those damn springy things...

Thanks for the help.

Sure thing :D That extra-springy I/O shield was probably the low point of my 8RDA+ installation, LOL...

BTW, here is the reason I mentioned the USB3 header: Pin #10 is hot
