New Computer Based Drivers Test

Was reading an article on al.com about the new drivers test that is computer based and it has this image. On the phone and taking the drivers test at the same time! Guess they are getting them ready for the road!
 
Are you sure it's not just something for hearing commands...?

Edit: when I took mine they were all computer based, and for some reason I think of phones being next to them, but I can't remember.
 
Considering cell phone are not usually allowed in the testing area (what's the point of the test if you could dial a friend???) it probably is a handset for commands.
 
Uh, you do realize that that is the written test, right? And yes, that is the handset for the voice prompts in the test. It wouldn't do much good if the other people wiating to take the test could hear it before taking it.
 
??? Its a written test so not sure what the big deal is... My written test here in CT was on a touchscreen too.....
