Western Digital Caviar SE16 320gb sata2 3.0gbs
win xp home sp2

You really think that anyone with a GT @ 425 is going to get 10,088? I want to meet them.

I've got a GT @ 505/1200, a DC CPU @ 2.6Ghz, better RAM timings and i just break 8K. In 3dmark i get 20-40fps for the graphics bit and then about 2-3fps for the CPU bit.

Having said that i'd expect 400 points or so more, check your settings are turned to performance rather than quality and that all the graphics tweaks are program dependant.

I'd expect a score of 7500 or maybe 8000 for that rig. There is no chance in hell anyone is getting 10k+ on a single GT. No chance. In hell.

none

He's probably confusing the 7800GT 3Dmark05 scores, with 7800GT SLI scores. (Although I'm not sure what 7800GT SLI get in 3dmark05).

They scratch 10k at the absolute most.

/agree 7500 to 8k would be typical for that rig.

6888 seems to be just about right for your setup.I'm getting 5928 with similar system specs. As for those 5 digit scores, like Malladine said - no way. So cheer up and enjoy your rig. ;)

are these scores based on certain settings or on the defaults, cause i pass the 10K mark with my rig and I dont think its as good as dual GT's SLI

This is 3dmark 2005 isn't it? On standard settings? With a 7800GT?

If it is, then you're just plain mistaken.

I scored 9328 with X2 4400+ at 2730 and 7800GTX at 521/1414 so I don't think a 7800GT is ever going to approach 10,000 unless it is liquid nitrogen (and still doubtful :laugh;)

lol, interesting though, my score is pretty close to yours. :p

Yeah, your score doesn't really seem that off. I have an X2 4200+ @2.618ghz, eVGA 7800GT with mem slightly overclocked to 1150mhz, 81.95 drivers, 2x1gb OCZ platinum, 2x160GB WD SATA-II drives in raid-0, and I score a 7705.
